We believe that God has given us all we need to know Him and to live in a way that is pleasing to Him. All our difficulties may not disappear; however, when a person willingly submits to God’s instructions and clings to His promises there is hope and strength.
"I am the light of the world. Whoever follows Me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life" (John 8:12).
COMMON ISSUES WE HELP WITH
Our experienced Biblical counselors are able to help people through a variety of issues. Some of the more common problems we routinely help people through include:
Marriage conflicts
Parents in raising children
Those dealing with sexual sin
Those struggling with their emotions (e.g. depression or anger)
Abusive relationships (physical, emotional, sexual, verbal)
Regardless of the issue you bring to us, we believe that God’s Word (the Bible) is sufficient to answer any of life’s problems and questions.
COST
In order to support the ongoing cost of running the ARISE-Biblical Counseling Center, we charge a one-time $10 administration fee.
Individual counseling sessions are $55 per session. Couples counseling sessions are $65 per session. (Arise Church Deland members may qualify for assistance if needed.)
Out of respect for our staff we may require a $55 deposit which is forfeited for cancellations of less than 24 hours.

WHAT TO EXPECT
At this time, Biblical counseling sessions are offered by appointment only. Most counseling sessions take between 45 to 60 minutes. Here’s what you can expect during that time:
PRIVACY AND CARE
Our staff will care for you and treat you with respect. Everything will be held in strict confidence except where, in the Biblical counselor’s judgment, there is a Biblical requirement to involve others (e.g. criminal activity, abuse, harm to self or others).
ENCOURAGEMENT TOWARDS BEING LIKE JESUS
Our staff will encourage you in your healing journey and exhort you to think and behave in a way that pleases Jesus Christ.
ASSIGNED HOMEWORK
We’ll assign you homework to take home between your weekly counseling sessions. The assignments are meant to encourage lasting change and create accountability in the healing journey.
ALLOW TIME FOR HEALING
Habits are not developed overnight, and new habits will take time to develop. In most cases, we ask individuals to commit to regular ongoing Biblical counseling appointments for the purpose of effectively dealing with lingering issues.
WHAT IS THE COUNSELING FORM?
The counseling form allows us to not only gather your contact information, but also your background, and some personal history by asking some questions designed to help us understand how to help you better. These questions are completely confidential, and go to our directors who then carefully place you with the counselor best matched to work with you and your needs.
Please note that it takes 7-10 business days to process the counseling form. As soon as you are matched to a counselor, they will contact you to set up an appointment schedule.
